Elmer Richolson

On Saturday afternoon 19 Patriot Guard, some wet, some not so wet, gathered at a rural Cemetery south of Brainerd to pay tribute to one of America's finest. Elmer Richolson was put in his final resting place by several of his family members. Elmer served in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He became a prisoner of war and was one of the very toughest who survived the infamous Baton Death March. Full Military honors were provided by the Brainerd American Legion. Mother Nature gave us a break and kept the grave side service largely dry. Once the family departed we left for a post mission briefing. What a tremendous honor to be able to pay respect to such a great American hero.
